Summary

The RFC Open-Finance protocol is a standard to unify the network communication between financial institutions. The design offers high security, performance, effective bandwidth usage, and ease of implementation and debugging.

Mission

The mission of Open-Finance protocol is to simplify interconnection between financial institutions using a modern and easy-to-implement protocol using reliable, widely supported tools such as JSON and Web-Socket.

Additionally, the protocol can be implemented over HTTP/2, using BSON and MsgPack encoding.

Credits

The Open-Finance protocol has been developed and implemented by Openware and is part of the OpenDAX crypto exchange software stack.
